Feb. 6, 1999 journal entry
I suspect the episode I had was the pre-migraine aura thingie, since I've been headachy ever since, with a tendency to sleep a lot.
I took tuesday off and slept all day. Wednesday night I went to bed at eight o'clock and slept until seven o'clock.
Last night I sent to bed at eight and slept to seven this morning.
On another note:
The truck is in my garage, and I can't get the garage door open to get it out.
One side of the garage door supports pulled loose from its moorings. I have to get some large self-tapping bolts to attach it to an angle bracket I put on the two-by-four where it mounts. I may do that today.
Also I need to hook up the electrical connector on the transmission, so it will shift gears before the engine revs up to 3000 rpm.
Gotta paint over some rust spots, also.
Yet another note:
Spock, on Star Trek Voyager, said to Tuvok (essentially) Since we have emotions, we must learn to control them.
LIve long and prosper. Y
PART TWO
It's now later in the day. I just got up from sleeping off a real migraine.
Well, I did another thing, also, that is actually what got rid of it.
I ate a teaspoon of table salt while drinking two large glasses of water.
Yes, I know, that makes you nauseous. In fact, I threw up. Then I drank some more water. If you've ever had a migraine, you'll know that nausea is *nothing* compared.
Only cheap cure for migraine I know of. Them pills they sell cost fourteen bucks each, and you have to keep taking them until the migraine goes away.
This here is a one-shot deal. Eat salt, drink a half-gallon of water, get sick, go to bed, wake up cured.
I feel fine, except for being thirsty. :)
Break
Got the garage door fixed. Painted some more on the truck. Am working on fixing up a connector for the transmission. Need to put new clamp on muffler.
It was over seventy degrees today. Must be gonna storm. Raining right now.
Addendum
The migraines were caused by low blood pressure, which was caused by drinking too much coffee.
